As we are gearing into the last lap of the year, it is once again time to take stock, reflect and give thanks to the Lord.
This has always been Sam's favourite season in the year. It all begins with the celebration of her birthday, followed by the Christmas holidays. Parties, gatherings and celebrations contributes to this season of fellowship and joy. This year will be even more meaningful as we look forward to celebrate Rachelle's first year in a few weeks time.
In 2015, the Yangs endured a difficult season, becoming new parents and being financially strapped. But it was even tougher for Sam. From being the centre of attraction, receiving all the love and attention, she has willingly relegated herself to a supporting role of a nurturing and loving mother. Being the main care-giver to Princess R is never an easy task. But kudos to Sam, she has done really well to make the transition from danity girl to gritty mama.
We have managed to ride out an very challenging and eventful year. It marked the birth of our daughter and it culminated with the launch of our company. Two very big dreams that we have been carrying in our hearts for many years just materalised within the blink of an eye.
1/11/2015 marked the beginning of a new season, Samantha Hoong & Partners was established. The vision and heart of this partnership is to bring about transformation to individuals and organisations (eventually to nations), through empathy, strategy (wisdom) and love. These are lofty dreams but we will realise them by the grace of God. This milestone which has recently been laid will signify the extension of our partnership from the home front into the corporate world.
As Sam celebrates her special day this year, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Lord for giving me such a beautiful and awesome wife. She is a person that I admire, adore, cherish and honor. She is a precious and dazzling gemstone, waiting to be uncovered. Wishing you a Blessed Birthday, my dearest wife!
As we tread onward in this journey of building familes, businesses and communities, we endeavor to hold fast to our hearts desire to wholly serve the Lord. All glory, honor and success belongs to You!
“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15
